Jan is one of the founders and one of the core inspirers of PurposePlanet. Jan believes every company can become more relevant for society, by making many little changes from the inside. ‘Get society inside by the people who are inside the company – and see how much that movement impacts the outside’, is his mantra.

With age came the wisdom that people create results, so he decided to only surround himself with colleagues who share these same core values. ‘Time is too valuable to waste it on people with the wrong intentions’.
Jan’s career is characterised by the combination of technology with sales & marketing. Shortly after he finished university, he created his first startup that helped promote technology companies on their B2B-markets. Based on this experience, he grew into becoming a strategy advisor for mid-sized B2B companies – this, still today, is his main advisory focus.
Jan is often asked as a keynote speaker for business strategy topics. His keynotes contain more society-relevance aspects than they did some 10 years ago, but you will not find Jan on the forefront of fundamental sustainable movements. He believes every company can improve their society-relevance – and can combine profit and purpose – without drastic changes.
